The Smoke-Filled Room was probably the fourth of fifth One Page RPG I ever read and for me this little RPG involving criminal PCs fighting over a (randomly generated) Maltese Falcon like artefact with strange powers is, so far, my absolute favourite, even after reading a considerable number of One Page RPGs.
I carry the rules to this game in a little tobacco tin (filled with the rules, several dice, mini-pencils and five characters I’ve made for this game on slips of paper, either to use a PCs or NPCs) to many a Table-top Roleplaying sessions, and I’m sadly still yet to get this to the table, but I still keenly anticipating doing so. A good chance to flex my improvisation muscles as GM.
This looms large in my imagination, I dream that amid the Spanish moss laden trees, and the alligator crocodile infested waters in ruin of a hotel converted in to a dive of a bar, criminals with itchy trigger fingers are waiting to view the artefact that will be auctioned later on, and each mulling over how best to steal it.
